The PT Cruiser experience includes a reassuring sense of protection. That's because we've included some of the most up-to-date safety features like Next Generation driver and passenger front air bags.* The driver side air bag is housed in the hub of the steering wheel, while the front passenger side airbag is concealed behind a door in the upper portion of the dashboard.

Driver and front-passenger air bags deploy in milliseconds in the event of a severe frontal impact. This safety system produces a less forceful emission which lessens the risk of injury to both passenger and driver, without compromising their safety.

Front side-mounted airbags (optional on Classic) provide additional head and thorax protection for driver and front passenger. The PT Cruiser also incorporates impact padding through out the upper trim panels providing all-round protection to occupants in the event of a collision.
