The newly available 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve I-4 Turbo Diesel engine combines performance and efficiency. Its healthy turbocharged output—140 Hp horsepower (DIN) at @ 4000 rpm and 310 N•m of torque @at 1,750 rpm—also delivers fuel savings. A 6-speed six-speed manual transmission contributes to its economy and smoothness.
The all-new 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve dual VVT I-4 engine, standard on every Sebring, is a marvel of balanced power, efficiency, and composure. Advanced dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a lightweight high-pressure die-cast aluminum cylinder block with integrated structural ribbing and wear-resistant iron piston sleeves conspire to produce a satisfying 152 horsepower (DIN) at @ 6400 rpm and 190 N•m of torque at @ 5,000 rpm. Its smooth operation is paired with an equally clean-shifting five-speed manual transaxle.
Like the 2.0-liter model, the optional all-new 2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve dual VVT I-4 World Engine shares much of its architecture, such as four valves per cylinder for enhanced breathing. The aluminum block, however, has a larger bore size, thus boosting output to a spirited 173 Hp horsepower (DIN) at @ 6000 rpm and 224 N•m of torque @ at 4,400 rpm. Mated to a four-speed AutoStick® transmission, it’s a silent, but willing, partner, no matter where you’re going in sporting and cruising.
Standard on the 2.0-liter Turbo Diesel engine, the smooth shifting six-speed manual transmission helps to deliver unsurpassed fuel economy so you can take Sebring farther without having to stop as frequently for fuel up.
Standard on the 2.7-liter gasoline engine, the four4-speed AutoStick® transmission, is a silent, but willing, partner no matter where you’re going in sporting and cruising.
